Vision

The massage of the chemistry department is to produce qualified graduates armed with knowledge and qualified to do research in the field of chemistry, and capable to deal with the requirements of present scientific and technological age and able to participate in building the Jordanian society on strong scientific, professional and moral grounds.

Mission:

To upgrade the capability of the graduates to compete in local, regional, and international levels; upgrade the plans and academic programs to go along with recent scientific and technological advancements; participation of students in faculty research projects and expose students and train them to use modern advanced high tech equipment.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

PEO.1. Instill in students a sense of enthusiasm for chemistry and appreciation of its application in different contexts; provide ample opportunities for critical thinking among students and solve problems requiring the application of chemical principles. PEO.2. Provide students with the knowledge and basic skills base to proceed to further studies in specialized areas of chemistry or multi-disciplinary areas involving chemistry. PEO.3. Enable graduates, who are familiar with research design methodology, to make use of the latest scientific and technological tools. PEO.4. Provide students with a tangible link between the basic theoretical principles of chemistry and their practical application to practical examples in the laboratory. PEO.5. Enable graduates to perform their leadership roles in their local or national communities and maintain ethical and professional standards in their careers.
